When designing this very small space to serve as both dining and bar areas for a Caribbean condo, Boho was the perfect style. Comfortable, yet stylish, this design was anchored by the off-white table and chairs to help allow the eye to move throughout the room without feeling that the space was crowded. The wall hanging served a similar purpose, while making a bold Boho design statement. The beaded Boho chandelier from Home Depot, tops off the design as it continues the neutral theme with a touch of glam.
Other Boho touches could be found with the off-white candleholders on the buffet and coordinating cake stands that boast Boho-style beads on top of the refrigerator cabinet (which is viewed from this room). The cake stands were leftover from the owner’s recent wedding where they were used as centerpiece stands. Decor with personal sentiment is always a win!
Boho design typically has some color, various cultural elements, and certainly some floral impact in the design. The small floral centerpiece on the table, the floral table runner, along with the burnt orange African vase and bowl on the buffet, help solidify these key Boho elements. The buffet also houses colorful plaques from the owner’s visits to Korea and Japan.
This room is open to the living area which yields a beautiful view of potted plants on the balcony and the exterior grounds with tall palms and tropical plants thriving in every direction. A nice feature that is mighty, but not at all small.
