I’ve always loved decor that enhances the beauty of a space, but am particularly fond of decor that improves functionality as well. This blog is about some of my favorite decor items that improve safety for your home, while adding enhanced decor. This night light is not only pretty, but it allows for extra safety for small children and adults as well. You can set it for “On” mode – always on; or “Auto” mode – automatically turns on only when motion is detected in the dark, then turns off after 60 seconds of inactivity. This is great for anyone that needs a solution for walking about safely in a dark area, but doesn’t need or want a bright light. It’s a plug-in so you don’t need to worry about batteries.
This fully functioning clock is a great way to store cash, jewelry, or other small valuables. There are two shelves within the stash compartment which maximize the number of small objects that can be stored behind the face of the clock. The neutral white and silver design of the clock will enhance most design styles, and can be placed in an easy access location as needed. It’s about time someone came up with a cool security solution like this one!
This Yale lock system is a great solution for a entryway to your home. I love it because of the various online features that it offers, in addition to the deadbolt and other safety elements . . . but it is sleek and elegant as well. I particularly like that there are no hard number buttons to press which can make some lock devices look institutional. That is not a great look for the entry to your home. The screen is completely black when not in use, except for the Yale logo which you press to access the digital numbers for entry.
These LED candles are great for a variety of reasons. They are lovely to use for table decor or anywhere around your home to give provide a warm, cozy feeling, in addition to soft lighting. Like regular candles, they can be used in lanterns and fireplaces. Their functionality in preventing fires that can occur with wick burning candles makes them a safer choice as well. The remote control in the set shown, has a timer feature which allows you to select how long you want the candle to remain lit.
